Hello, September: Time to Reset, Recharge, Recommit 🍎🧡
HAPPY SEPTEMBER! 🍂
Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year.
Cue the Gilmore Girls intro song.
I love everything about this season—the lingering warmth, the crisp nights, fall sports, pumpkin patch trips, baked goods... I mean, what’s not to love?
But while fall brings a lot of joy, it also brings something else: routine.
Parents are waving goodbye to summer and hello to school drop-offs, sports schedules, and activity-packed calendars. Depending on your job, this may also be the season where work ramps up—pre-holiday campaigns, new projects, hiring, and year-end goals all start to stack up. After Labor Day, routine hits hard.
But here's the good news: Fall is also the perfect time to reset. To revamp your routine. To recommit to yourself, your goals, and your well-being.
So how can you fit Pilates into your routine in a way that feels good—not like another item on your to-do list?
1. For Student Athletes and Sports Enthusiasts
Whether you're in high school, college, or training at a professional level, your schedule probably amps up in the fall. Many athletes train year-round—but this is the ideal time to build in recovery and injury prevention.
Pilates can be your secret weapon.
A weekly session acts as active recovery, helping you build strength, flexibility, and body awareness. With the right instructor, you’ll get a challenging yet restorative session that supports your performance and longevity.
2. For Parents of Young Kids
You’re running on tight schedules—and it’s easy to put your own wellness on the back burner. But that’s exactly why carving out just one class a week can make a huge difference.
Find a studio or instructor who can work around your availability.
Time it around school drop-off, before work, or even a peaceful Friday evening. Make it your dedicated “you” time—grab a coffee before or after and make it something you look forward to, not just another task.
3. For Professionals in a Busy Work Season
Yes, fall can be intense. But that’s even more reason to prioritize boundaries and self-care. Pilates is perfect for busy professionals—it fits seamlessly into a lunch break or early morning.
Because reformer classes typically don’t leave you drenched in sweat (unless it’s a heated class), you can easily return to work feeling refreshed, not rushed. Just one session a week can improve posture, reduce stress, and help you move through your workday with more energy and ease.
We’ve only got a few months left in the year—so take this season as your chance to recommit to feeling mobile, strong, and centered.
You don’t need to overhaul your life—just find one pocket of time for yourself each week. You deserve it.
